In an effort to “give back” to his beloved neighbors, Owen Evans decided to create a garden on his property after the Angora Fire. The garden is a cooperative project between the Tahoe Resource Conservation District, Nevada Fire Safe Council, South Tahoe Public Utility District, lake Valley Fire Protection District, the Evans/Allen families, and local businesses, As the garden continues to be developed, it will serve as a model for landscape BMPs, water conservation, fire defensible space, and beauty.
